Project: Construction of Port of Gazenica Passenger Terminal

Employer: Zadar Port Authority

Lot IIIb of the Construction of Gazenica Port is comprised of the construction of the central terminal building of 24.350 m2 total area, in addition to the construction of new infrastructure, parking facilities and soft and hard landscaping works on approximately 18.000 m2. We perform the role of the Supervisory Engineer and HSE Supervisor. 

 

Project: Production and instalation of pontoon piers at marine Portonovi, Boka Kotorska Bay

Production, towing and in situ installation of pontoon piers. Installation of pier anchoring system and in situ infrastural works.

Project: Reconstruction of infrastructure and the mainland facilities at ACI marine Pomer

Employer: ACI Club d.d.

Removal of existing infrastructural utilities (gas, water main, storm water drainage, electrical and communication utilities, WiFI, CAT and CAB TV, security facilities), removal of existing buildings, the construction of new infrastructure and mainland facilities in compliance with contemporary needs of the nautical world. We perform the role of Project Manager and FIDIC Engineer.

Removal and caring for existing outdated berths, workshop production of floating pontoons 9m long, 3m breadth, 0,85m high with 0,5m freeboard, to be incorporated into nine new afloat berths 45 to 135 m long, boat tuging the pontoons, production and instalation of anchoring RC blocks under the water by scuba divers. Reconstruction of water main network, electrical network and hydrant network. We perform the role of Employer's Project manager and FIDIC Engineer.

Project: Infrastructural works on the project "IKEA Zagreb East"

Employer: UNIECO Soc.Coop.

Execution of infrastructural works on the project "IKEA Zagreb East" - road works, sidewalks, water mains, storm water drainage, foul sewerage, gas pipeline, telecommunications conduits, traffic signs, road marking, intelligent traffic system. We performed the role of Project Manager and Chief Site Engineer.

Project: Reconstruction of A3 motorway; Section Zagreb - Lipovac; Subsection Ivanja Reka - Rugvica

Employer: Unieco Soc.Coop. Zagreb Branch

Removal of existing pay toll station and the construction of a new one, removal of old motorway and the construction of a new one along with north and south parallel carriageways, construction of new interchange "Otok Svibovski" and the reconstruction of existing international interchange "Ivanja reka", removal of existing ramp and overpass "Hruscica" and the construction of new ones. The works have been caried out under permanent heavy traffic and under temporary traffic regulations. Utility works: public lighting, storm water drainage, water mains, high voltage cabling, foul sewerage. We performed the role of Site engineer and Contractor's Project manager.

 

Project: “Rječina“ Bridge, “Katarina” viaduct and “Katarina” road tunnel on City of Rijeka detour

Employer: Concession Company Zagreb – Rijeka Motorway

“Rječina” bridge – massive RC frame bridge with inclined piers. Spans 50 + 108,5 + 50 m. Construction method – free cantilevering of inclined piers using geotechnical anchors, first superstructure span to be cast on the steel truss rested upon ancillary piers, second (middle) span to be cast by free cantilever method – post tensioning system Dywidag. “Katarina” Viaduct – beam bridge with monolithic deck with 9 spans of 18 m. Tunnel “Katarina” – road tunnel – excavation by New Austrian tunneling method; primary shoring – shotcrete reinforced by steel fibres + steel arch truss + Swellex anchors and/or IBO anchors. Somewhere, when necessary, pipe roof system was used. Secondary shoring – Reinforced concrete cast in steel mold 12 meters long.

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Project Manager, Authorized Site Manager, bridgework free cantilevering method consultant, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

Project: Construction of two Steel oil tanks in Sisak

Employer: JANAF (Adriatic Oil pipeline).

Two steel tanks 90 meters in diameter, founded on RC ring foundation. Civil works. Access roads, waste water management.

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Project Manager, Authorized Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

 

Project: Zagreb – Split Motorway, “Maslenica” bridge

Employer: Croatian Road Authority

“Maslenica” bridge – main span 370 m, arch bridge with arch span of 200 m, arrow 60 meters, PGL line 90 meters above sea level. Arch construction was done by free cantilever method using stay cables in three stages; first anchoring position – middle of pier and back anchoring to the ground, second anchoring position – pier top and back anchoring to the ground, third anchoring position – top of temporary steel pylon 22 meters above PGL line and back anchoring to the ground. BBR post tensioning system used for anchoring, both ground and stay and backstay cables. Arch was consisted of 46 elements 5.0 m long each which were cast on special steel self moveable scaffold using free cantilevering method. 47th element was cast upon the completion of both arch legs (2x23 elements) and upon the completion of equalization of both legs levels as the wet joint. Ground anchoring of back stay cables was done by pre-stressed ground cables 27 to 30 m deep into the ground with anchoring zone of 16 m. Highest pier was 70 m high. Piers were designed as hollow section with pier cap 16 meters long resting on two piers beneath. Total number of 90 precast post tensioned girders were produced and installed by launching truss.

We performed the role of Head of part of Structural Works and Precast Yard Manager for the Contractor.

Project: Motorway Interchange Ploče – Bosnia and Herzegovina

Employer: Georad d.o.o.

All earthworks (rock excavation, blasting, transportation, rock filling), sub base, slope protection, storm water drainage. We performed the role of a Contractor’s Project Manager.

Project: Fourteen (14) Wind Turbines in Obrovac

Employer: ING GRAD d.o.o.

All earthworks for access roads and reinforced concrete foundations. We performed the role of a Contractor’s Project Manager.

 

Project: Zagreb – Sisak Motorway, Buševec - Lekenik section

Employer: Croatian Motorway Authority

Road Works – main alignment 12 km long with all complementary works, pipe and box culverts, road works – 2 million m3 fill, drainage pipe work etc.
Structural works: 6 road overpasses, two animal overpasses, 4 bridges, 1 viaduct. In total 100.000 m3 of reinforced and pre-stressed concrete.
We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Project Manager, Authorized Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

 

 

 

Project: Reconstruction of Pay Toll station in Lučko near Zagreb, Croatia

Employer: Concession Company Zagreb – Rijeka Motorway

Construction of additional pay toll booths and widening of approaching motorway by adding two additional lanes on both sides of the highway, 5 km long.

We performed the role of a Project Manager for one of the Contractor’s JV members.

Project: Zagreb – Sisak Motorway, Jakuševec – Velika Gorica Jug and Velika Gorica – Buševac section

Employer: Croatian Motorway Authority

Road Works – main alignment 20 km long with all complementary works, pipe and box culverts, road works, drainage pipe work etc. Structural works – „Željeznička“ viaduct, 550 m total span, bridging the interregional railway Zagreb – Sisak.

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Project Manager, Authorized Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

 

Project: Road D8, Section Sv. Kuzam – Križišće, LOT 4

Employer: Croatian Road Authority

Road Works with all ancillary structures on the alignment; Viaducts „Sveta Trojica“ – 900 m and “Krizisce” – 470m.

We performed the role of a Project Manager for one of the Contractor’s JV members.

 

Project: Zagreb – Sisak Motorway, Section Jakuševec – Velika Gorica Jug

Employer: Croatian Motorway Authority

Viaduct „Kolareva“ – 168 m and main alignment road works (3.4 km) with other complementary works – culverts, drainage, excavation, filling works, formation, sub base, cement treated base, asphalt works, crash barriers and crash cushions.

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Project Manager, Authorized Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

Project: Zagreb – Rijeka Motorway, Section Vrbovsko – Bosiljevo

Employer: Concession Company Zagreb – Rijeka Motorway

Viaduct „Osojnik“ – 320 m and main alignment road works (5 km) with other complementary works – culverts, drainage, excavation, filling works, formation, sub base, cement treated base, asphalt works, crash barriers.

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Project Manager, Authorized Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

Project: Zagreb – Macelj Motorway, Section Krapina – Macelj

Employer: Main Contractor – Pyhrn Motorway

Two viaducts „Krapinčica“ – 530 m, two viaducts „Jurički“ – 100 m, two viaducts „Tkalci“ – 230 m. Piling works (250 bored piles ϕ 120cm), diaphragm walls used for the founding of viaduct „Tkalci“, jet grouting for stabilizing the embankment settlements and piles settlements, 270 pieces of pre-stressed girders were produced and installed, each with  90 tons of weight and 32.5 m long, drainage works, handrails, crash barriers, noise protection.

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Project Manager, Authorized Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

Project: State Road D8, Section Orehovica – Sveti Kuzam, LOT 0, 1 and 2

Employer: Croatian Road Authority

Two viaducts „Vežica“ – 660 m and two viaducts „Draga II“ – 220 m, 125 precast pre-stressed beams 90 tons of weight and 30 m long; two pedestrian overpasses; Interchange „Orehovica“; Two underpasses; alignment works of all kind – excavation, filling – 480.000 m3, excavation slopes protection – IBO anchors (5000 pieces of 9 to 16 m long), shot crete 20.000 m2, at casing method of boring, bored pipe drains etc.; water works steel and DI pipes ϕ 150 mm to 700 mm – new construction and relocation of existing water mains; foul sewerage works – DI and HDPE pipes ϕ 150 to 400 mm, new and existing, gravity and pressurized; reconstruction of parallel local roads under traffic – 4 km; execution of tunnel beneath the international railway Rijeka – Budapest, execution of auxiliary structure for temporary railway bridge - 30 m span.

We performed the roles of the Contractor’ Chief Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

Project: Zagreb – Split Motorway, Section Sv. Rok – Zadar II

Employer: Croatian Motorway Authority

Two viaducts „Rovanjska“ 180 m, two viaducts „Crna Draga“ – 230 m, 180 precast pre-stressed beams 90 tons of weight and 30 m long, bridge „Baštica“ – 90 m, 3 underpasses; road works – 5 km motorway, 870.000 m3 of rock excavation – blasting, filling works, subbase, asphalt works, terramesh protection of embankment slopes due to very steep original ground, drainage pipe work – impermeable reinforced concrete pipes, protection of excavation pit slopes with wired mesh – slopes of up to 90 m height.

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Chief Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

Project: Zagreb – Split Motorway, Section Josipdol – Mala Kapela

Employer: Bechtel Enka JV

Sub-structural works for two viaducts „Modruš II“ – 250 m, two viaducts „Modruš III“ – 160 m, overpasses „Gašparovići“, „Pavličići“ and „Krč“, 4 underpasses and large box culverts in the alignment, 54 precast pre-stressed girders 35 tons of weight and 20 m long each.

We performed the roles of the Sub contractor’s Chief Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager

Project: Reconstruction of „Kostajnica“ bridge over river Una in Hrvatska Kostajnica and removal of Debris of „Jasenovac“bridge

Employer: European Commission for Renewal of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Kostajnica“ bridge - removal of damaged structural parts (blasted in war) and the execution of complete new two spans, remedial works on other spans (total span 180 m); „Jasenovac“ bridge – removal of immersed former bridge debris from river Una using underwater concrete and steel cutting and blasting methods. All works were done under water by scuba divers. The debris was collected from the river bottom by crawler crane with grab bucket and clam shell set on the barge and driven by motor tugs. The execution of works was very delicate considering that two different river banks were held by belligerent parties and considering the bureaucratic procedure for border crossing, in particular since the precast pre-stressed beams were executed in Croatia and transported to Bosnian side.  

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Chief Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

Project: Zagreb – Split Motorway, Section Bosiljevo - Josipdol, Most Dobra

Employer: Bechtel Enka JV

Sub-structural works on two bridges „Dobra“ – 180 m, slab foundation in rock 6 meters beneath river „Dobra“ water level, water pumping from the excavation pit, hollow section piers 40 m high, pier caps 11 m cantilever on both sides – free cantilever method (cast on site), preparation for precast beams installation, 3 overpasses – „Mirići“, „Malik“ and „Kneževići“, 3 underpasses – „Tuturovići“, „Otok na Dobri“ and „Bartolovići“, 54 precast pre-stressed beams 35 tons of weight and 20 m long each. 

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Chief Site Manager, Safety Coordinator II, Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

Project: Bridge over river „Kupa“ in Karlovac

Employer: City of Karlovac

bored piles on the banks and in the water, protrusion of piers directly from the piles, precast pier cap, „Bailey“ type steel structure was incrementally launched over the piers. The works were fully completed within 2.5 months.

We performed the technical support for the Contractor in preparation of the Project documentation, Scaffolding calculations and drawings, planning etc.

 

Project: Zagreb – Rijeka Motorway, Viaducts „Katušin“ and “Stara Sušica”

Employer: Concession Company Zagreb – Rijeka Motorway

Two viaducts „Katušin“ – total span 220 m and one viaduct “Stara Susica” with 340 m span. 60+55 precast pre-stressed girders of 90 tons weight and 32.5 m of length each. Piers partially founded on piles and the rest slab foundations (where rock encountered). “Stara Susica” viaduct – 40 m high piers and precast girders launched by launching truss.

We performed the technical support for the Contractor in preparation of the Project documentation, Scaffolding calculations and drawings, planning etc.

Project: Zagreb – Rijeka Motorway, Viaduct „Drežnik“

Employer: Concession Company Zagreb – Rijeka Motorway

Two viaducts „Drežnik“ 2.5 km total span. Most spans were 32.5 m except main span crossing river „Kupa“ which was 70 m. Bored piles 25 – 30 m long – 450 pieces ϕ 120 cm, precast pre-stressed girders – 616 pieces, partially post tensioned, partially mixed pre and post tensioned, 90 tons of weight and 32.5 m of length each. Main span 70 meters were bridged by cantilever precast beam (17 m console on both sides) installed on top of pier, temporarily stabilized by high grade threaded bars. Then the central beam was installed in between and wet joint cast on site, which was followed by the post tensioning of the continuity supplementary cables going all the way along the superstructure covering negative bending moments above the piers.

We performed the role of Head of Structural Works for one of the Contractors in JV and the technical support in preparation of the Project documentation, Scaffolding calculations and drawings, planning etc.

Project: Zagreb – Varaždin Motorway, Section: Sv. Helena – Breznički Hum

Employer: Croatian Road Authority

Two bridges over river „Lonja II“ – 100 m, two bridges over river  „Glavinčica“ – 30 m, two bridges over river „Nespeš“ – 30 m. Slab foundations, superstructure – reinforced concrete cast on site – light tower scaffolding.

We performed the role of Head of Structural Works for the Contractor.

Project: Zagreb – Varaždin Motorway, Section: Varaždin - Čakovec

Employer: Croatian Road Authority

Bridge over river „Drava I“ – 550 m, 55 pre-stressed precast girders, 44 bored piles 30 m long ϕ 120 cm, works inside the river current; bridge „Kanal Plitvica“ – 30 m, slab foundation 6 meters beneath the GWL, engagement of strong water pumping facilities, execution of the temporary bypass trench in order to divert the water in rain season; overpass „Zamlaka“ – 160 m, slab foundation, precast pier caps, precast reinforced concrete beams – 36 pieces.

We performed the role of Head of Structural Works for the Contractor.

Viaduct „Zalesina“ – 470 m total span, hollow section piers, pier caps, 60 pcs of precast post tensioned beams, slab foundation.

We performed the role of Head of Structural Works for the Contractor.

Project: Industrial Interchange in Doha, State of Qatar

Employer: Public Works Authority, Roads Affairs

Structural works – Industrial Viaduct – post tensioned box girder cast on site for the superstructure – 550 m; double Salwa Road Bridges – post tensioned box girder cast on site – 2 x 250 m, double roundabout bridges – pre-stressed slab superstructure, underpass – 670 m long. Slab founding, bored piles on the abutments. Total concrete quantity 100.000 m3.

Utility works – micro tunnel dia 3.0 m for the rainfall drainage system – 9600 m, relocation of existing and construction of new water network DI ϕ 400 – 700 mm – 23 km, relocation of existing TSE (treated sewage effluent) and foul sewerage – 10 km, construction of new TSE and foul gravity and pressurized network – 12 km of HDPE and DI pipes ϕ 200 – 400mm, construction of new drainage system – 24 km of GRP (glass reinforced plastic) and VC (vitrified clay) pipes ϕ 300 – 700 mm, electrical works (up to 66 kV), Q-tel works, Qatar Armed Forces works, Intelligent Traffic System.

Road works – excavation (260.000 m3), filling works 200.000 m3, crushing, sub base, cement treated base, asphalt works (350.000 tons), Reinforced Soil Walls, landscaping, detour roads – 27 km prior to the execution of the main works.

We performed the roles of the Contractor’s Project Manager, Construction Manager, Head of Engineering department Head of HSE department, Head of QA/QC department, Senior Planning Engineer and the Contract Manager.

Project: MIC Business and Recreational Complex, Package one

Project: Dammam Cold Store in Dammam, Kingdom of SA

Construction of the COLD STORE and other Associated Facilities, including, in addition to civil and architectural works, all connected services and systems such as water supply, electric supply, sewer system, communication system, storm water system and site development works such as asphalt pavement, concrete walkways, road markings, power substation, lift station, street lightings, support facilities, and landscaping, etc.

We performed the role of Contractor’s consultant for planning, contract management, and HSE procedures.

Project: Suli storm water drainage channel in Riyadh, Kingdom of SA
